Untitled (color flowers and pollen)
(2020)
When I am dyeing with natural pigments I intuitively try to organize my tools and what I do pro colors. Many times this prevents contamination between pigments and acids. Some of the rags I used I began to notice this blurred circle that was created, its shape reminded me of flowers when you see them through a blurred lens. It was also the witness of the slowness and transience of the process to which it belongs. I began to be more conscious of the rags I used and I mordant them to then turn them into these representations of flowers that I then bordered with dyed threads simulating the pollen of these flowers.
